The Fit Journey is a 3 step, face to face retention program to give our members the tools needed to achieve measurable results and maintain your health and fitness success for the long term!

The 3-steps include:

  1. F-ind Your Purpose
    Find your purpose is all about your understanding where you are at, and defining where you want to be. We achieve this through a series of standard pre-screens as well as our game changing body composition scanner. In one simple scan we’ll know your weight, body fat%, muscle composition, fitness age, visceral fat and plenty more. Armed with this 360 view of you and your goals, now your trainer can give you a program that best suits your needs. We finish step 1 by running you through your program and the equipment required.
  2. I-gnite Your Spark
    Now its time to Ignite your Spark! In your second appointment your trainer is not only going to do a thorough run through of your program but they are going to really put you through your paces. Focusing on intensity and corrective movement, this step is designed to show you what you are capable of and give you the tools to success over the next few weeks.
  3. T-rack & Refine
    In Step 3 we Track & Refine our program. We’ll get you back on the body composition scanner and cross reference your training with your results. We will then make adjustments to ensure we continue to achieve success and to make sure you aren’t getting too comfortable.

Boot Camp is a group based outdoor training program focused on achieving personal results! It is an 8-week program where you can work through your own goals in strength and fitness while training hard in a team environment.
Can anyone do it?

It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is, anyone can participate in Boot Camp! If you do have any injuries or pre-existing medical conditions, please be sure to let your trainer know about them before your session.

During the 8 week Boot Camp term, Non-Health Club members can use our health club and participate in all group fitness classes provided they have attended their weekly session. Workout pass will start on 14th October – 7th DecemberTerms and Conditions apply.

Ever seen this piece of equipment at the gym and wondered how to incorporate it into your workout? They’re called a Bosu ball and they are a great idea to change up your exercises!



2. Squat jumps

Start in a side lunge position, and whilst balancing one foot on the Bosu ball and one foot on the floor, push off the ground to move the foot on the ground onto the ball whilst the foot on the ball moves onto the other side of the ball onto the floor. Keep alternating legs.



3. Burpees

Holding the Bosu ball upside down in the straight arm plank position, move your legs to a tucked position, do a standing squat whilst holding the ball. Stand-up and lift the ball above your head. Move the Bosu ball back down to the straight arm plank position, and add a push-up if you’re feeling a challenge! Then repeat.



4. and for an extra challenge… Bosu push-ups!

Grip your fingers on the edge of the Bosu ball upside down. Bend your elbows to lower your entire body into a push-up position, pushing your hand’s weight evenly into the ball. On the way up, push your entire body upwards whilst pulling the ball closer to your body, then land the Bosu ball back on the floor with bent arms and lower back into the push-up position. And repeat!

Wednesday 24th July 2019 is Stress Down Day, so this is a friendly reminder to take some time to yourself, partake in fun and easy activities designed to reduce stress.

Research shows that 90% of Australians need to stress less – with 74% of people reporting being stressed from work. In regards to this, we have some tips for you to reduce some stress at our facilities!

  1. Go for a run
  2. Swim a few laps
  3. Find space in the gym and medtiate utilising the gym’s yoga mats
  4. Partake in a yoga class
  5. Stretching

Don’t forget about looking after the most important person in your life, you!

One-tray bake recipes are perfect for those short on time, especially in the evenings, and are looking for a quick and easy dinner solution to satisfy the whole family that won’t compromise their health. They provide maximum nutrition, with minimal prep time or dirty dishes. Plus, you can use almost any vegetable you have in the fridge.

Our One-Tray Mediterranean Vegetable Bake is super high in fibre which will help keep you feeling fuller for longer with each serve contains more than 6 serves of vegetables! Making it a very easy way to achieve the recommended goal of at least 5 serves of vegetables each day.

One-Tray Mediterranean Bake Recipe:

Serves 4

Prep time:

10 minutes

Cooking time:

Approximately 1 hour

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 x 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 x 400g can brown lentils, drained & rinsed
  • 1 large eggplant, sliced 1cm thick
  • 4 small potatoes, sliced 1cm thick
  • 1 large zucchini, sliced 1cm thick
  • 1 small red capsicum, sliced 1cm thick
  • 12 kalamata olives
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 50g reduced fat feta, crumbled
  • ½ cup mozzarella
  • Chilli flakes, to serve (optional)
  • Black pepper, to serve (optional)
METHOD:
  1. In a large baking tray, mix together 1 can diced tomatoes (400g), garlic and lentils. Spread evenly over the base of the tray.
  2. Layer with eggplant, potato, zucchini and capsicum. Top with the second can of diced tomatoes (400g), sprinkle with oregano and scatter with olives. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175ᵒC for 40 minutes.
  3. Top with feta and mozzarella and bake a further 15-20 minutes.
  4. Serve with chilli flakes and cracked pepper if desired.
